Southmont Elementary Welcomes
Kemp Smith, Assistant Principal
Mr. Smith has over twenty years experience in teaching and administration in Davidson County Schools. He also serves as the assistant principal at Churchland Elementary School.
Having earned a bachelor's and master's degree from High Point University, Mr. Smith was a mathematics teacher in Davidson County Schools before transitioning into school administration.
Mr. Smith is married to Brittany, an instructional coach in Davidson County Schools and they have three daughters, Kensley, Hayden, and Adalyn all of whom attend school in Davidson County Schools which makes him very invested in our schools and community.
