Carol Ann Little -- Assistant Principal
I am excited to call Southmont and Wallburg home. As the assistant principal of the two schools, I will be splitting my time each week. If you need to meet with me in person, I will be at Wallburg the first and third Mondays, along with Tuesdays and Wednesdays. On the second and fourth Mondays, as well as Thursdays and Fridays, I will be at Southmont. You can always reach me by email.
As a child, I grew up in the Welcome community and attended Welcome Elementary, North Davidson Junior High, and North Davidson High School. I obtained my BS in Elementary Education at High Point University, my Masters in Elementary Education from Catawba College, and my Post-Masters Certification in School Administration from UNC-Greensboro. I have taught for 18 years in Davidson County. During this time, I have taught kindergarten through third grades, been a lead teacher in a middle school, and served as an Instructional Program Specialist with our county at the district level.
I am passionate about teaching and learning. I like to spend the majority of my time in classrooms supporting instruction. I believe that the foundation of student success begins here at elementary school. I am here to work through struggles, celebrate successes and prepare our students for the next steps in their academic careers.
As the assistant principal, I am lucky to be part of the Southmont and Wallburg families. I look forward to working with you this school year!
