Ahoy Matey!

 

Welcome to 4th grade! I am Mrs. Marion one of the three 4th grade pirates! I am excited to have you in my class this year.  We are going to sail together on this journey called 4th grade. There will be lots of hard work and fun this year! I look forward to working with both students and parents to have a successful 2018-19 school year filled with growing and learning. 

 

My teaching journey began with an undergraduate degree in elementary education from High Point University. After teaching for 3 years I continued my education with a Master's degree in Reading from AppaIachian State University. I began teaching in the fall of 2007 at Southwood Elementary. I moved to Southmont the year it opened. I have been teaching for 12 years now. This is my 6th year teaching 4th grade and I love it! Prior to teaching 4th grade I taught 2nd grade.
